Operation Breakfast Broccoli

Logan has recently become a pretty picky eater. At breakfast he gobbles down whatever I feed him, but the rest of the meals (especially dinner) not so much. He would much rather have goldfish.

Well that's all fine and dandy, except I usually save all the really nutritious stuff for later. Sure, I feed him pears or applesauce or something like that with his breakfast cereal, but the hardcore veggies I hold off on.

So, in an effort to get Logan his daily greens, I decide to switch things up a bit. Logan ate carrots, squash, and broccoli this morning along with his cereal and yogurt. And he ate all of it! Now I won't feel so bad if he only eats crackers the rest of the day.

It's Christmas! This year I am so excited to be celebrating Logan's very first Christmas. I think I may have gone a little overboard with the presents, but I am it sure is fun to have packages under the tree! (Dustin and I usually can only wait til we get home before we are making the other one open our gifts.)

We just took Logan to Temple Square. He was a pretty good sport about the whole thing, and the best part (for me, at least) was that he finally got to meet Santa!

He may have cried a little, but as I told Dustin "He'll thank me when he's older!"

We recently returned from a much needed vacay to my lover's mother land. KY! It was so nice to sit back and relax, catch up with the fam, eat lots of barbeque, and show off our pride and joy. I don't like to brag, but I'm pretty sure Logan has the top grandchild spot in the bag!
While touring Mammoth Cave ( the longest cave in the whole world, mind you), Logan had a bit of an accident. Me, being the amazing momma that I am, forgot to pack any extra clothes that day. So, in true Kentucky style, Logan spent the rest of the day half naked in a coon-skin cap!

So as is quit obvious I never update my blog. I prefer to just blog-stalk everyone else! But I wanted to post about our sweet little dude. Logan was born on February 22, 2011 at 9:05 in the am... after just about 24 hours of labor! Ha Ha it was awesome! All jokes aside it really was an amazing experience. One that I'm in no hurry to repeat! but I'm so glad he's here.
Logan is now 3 months old. Wow time has flown by! He is the happiest baby. He hardly ever cries. He just smiles and laughs all the time! We love our little dude!

6 Months

Wow only 3 months to go... it seems like it has gone by so fast, but it also seems like it has taken so long to get to this point. We are getting so excited to meet our little man. Still haven't decided on a name for him yet, but let me tell you... it will be fantastic! I have been working on his room for a while and everything is almost ready, which I love! I am not one who can wait so I try to do things early.
Dustin and I will start going to our hypno-birthing class in a couple of weeks and I am so excited. I have been reading the book so that I would know more about everything when we go and am just feeling more and more comfortable with our decision to do this. Most people look at me like I am a psycho when I tell them about it and that it is "natural" child birth but for me it just makes sense!
I just can't wait til we can actually see what he will look like...

Dustin and I went in for my 18 week ultrasound yesterday. We have been anticipating this day for what seems like FOREVER and I wanted to make sure that the baby would show us the goods! I guzzled OJ and took a few sips of a Dr. Pepper to get the little jumping bean moving. Not to worry, it took the tech all of 2 seconds to announce to us that we were having a BOY! We are so excited and can't wait to meet our little man!

So I just purchased this little guy today... it's coming next week. I have heard awesome things about it. My sister-in-law used it and swears by it. Hopefully it works for me! I say "no thank you" to stretch marks please!

our little sugar dumpling is set to pop out on February 24th! I am 13 weeks today and so excited to be done with the first trimester and into the less scary, safer remainder of pregnancy.
We got to have an ultrasound at 10 weeks where we saw our little blueberry and it's heartbeat which made me bawl, and feel so much better.
Hopefully we will get to find out what we are having next month! I can't wait! I have bought a few boy things and a few girl things because it's hard to just wait and to walk by all the adorable little clothes (everything is cuter in miniature... it's very hard to resist). We are going to be so happy with either or and we just can't wait to be parents to a screaming, pooping, little bundle of joy!

Everybody else is doing it... so why can't we?

Dustin and I will be traveling to the blissful islands of HAWAII in April! I am so excited I can't even stand it!! I have missed Jer & Keara and the 3 little psychos so much.
I have been stalking the airlines for months and finally Dustin gave me to go ahead to buy the tickets. Literally 2 seconds after those words came out of his mouth I was entering our credit card number on Expedia! I think I might pee my pants a little!

In other news... I am a college grad! Wow that's weird. I graduated from UCMT in December and I started working at Massage Envy a couple of weeks ago. Everything is going really well there. I think that I am gonna go back to school in August though ha ha cause I just can't stay away from the classroom. Still debating on what I am venturing into now though...

Dustin is still plugging along at Stevie H's and is still kicking butt. He will graduate next year around this time and We are both very excited for that!

Hey Hey!
So it's been awhile and a lot has happened in our little lives! First off I finished my first quarter at school and got all A's WOOT WOOT. Dustin is still kicking some major ace at school and has been singled out as having the best work in all of his classes... I'm so proud of my little shmoopsie poo!
Last week I was one of the lucky people to be layed-off from my work. Awesome right!? Ha Ha... But all in all we think it is maybe a blessing in disguise and I am just looking at all of the options that I have. I am thinking about just diving in and finishing school 3 months quicker. That really would be awesome!
After all of this we are definately in need of a break from things for a while. We are heading to the BIG APPLE in about a week! We are so excited... I'm peeing in my pants a little because of how excited I am! We can't wait to see all the sites, eat from street vendors, and just take in the busy city. NYC BABY!

No I don't mean Disneyland... IKEA! Oh how I love you! We have had our eye on some new furniture for the bedroom for quite awhile and we jumped the gun this weekend and had quite a little shopping spree. This is the lovely new dresser we got, with matching night stands, and we also got a new desk. It's so fun to get new furniture! I felt like a little girl on Christmas...

So I realize that I will probably make enemies of every girl in the world, but I have to be honest. Dustin and I went and saw Twilight at the dollar theater on Saturday. One word... Stupid. Maybe it was the bad acting. Maybe it was all the little girls giggling throughout the entire thing. All in all I give it 2 thumbs down.

Thank goodness it's Friday, that's all I can say. This week has been rough on us. Dustin has had to work until midnight every night, meaning that we have been able to see each other for only about an hour a day. I know that I may be a baby, but I have had a very hard time with it! I need my boy toy! Tomorrow will be so wonderful... :)

So it's official. Dustin and I are both crazy! Dustin has decided to switch his major to Graphics Design. He is so excited and I am happy that he is finally enjoying school! And... we will both be done with school this time next year. Hallelujah!

I am now a great- Aunt... wierd! My nephew Brayden and his girlfriend Brittanie had a baby boy on January 2nd, after 20 hours in labor! He weighed 8lbs 8oz., and is 21 1/2 inches long He is a big boy! Dustin and I were able to go visit them in the hospital and he is the cutest little thing and it is so fun to see how Brayden has fallen into the role as a daddy, and how much he loves Tallin.

Kentucky

Well even though it is now in January, I will tell you a little about what Dustin & I did for Christmas. We spent the Holidays with Dustin's family in beautiful Kentucky! We were both so excited to get out there and spend time with everyone. It didn't hurt that the weather was about 65 degrees the whole time either. It felt like a heat wave after suffering through the blizzards of Utah! I love Kentucky, even in the winter time everything is so green.
We went to the "World's Largest Flea-Market", in Bowling Green, boy oh boy was that a trip. Some guy offered to pull our teeth, and then wanted to talk to my sister-in-law about finding Jesus. Then we stumbled across the deal of the century, stress balls that looked like boobies. Brilliant! ha ha
We did some 4-wheeling through the creeks and I let Dustin talk me into takin a ride on the motorcycle ( I don't know why, but I have always hated them.) We had so much fun just being able to goof around, and hang out with all the fam and not have to worry about working. We wish we could get out there to spend time with everyone more often.

Finally after what has been almost a 3 month affair, I have my wedding ring back. I have never been so releaved, I honestly wondered if I would ever see it again. Several months back, one of the stones on the side popped out and so we took it in to the shop to get repaired... well, then they put in completely different, and ugly, stones. I was in tears and Dustin was furious. We took it back in and after way too many phone calls on my part, and a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, 7 weeks later it is back where it belongs on my little hand! I won't name names here, but if anyone is ever in the market for jewelry let me know so I can warn you where not to go!!!

Sometimes sharing a bed is the worst. I don't know what it is, usually we both sleep like a rock, but sometimes we are so tired and restless at the same time that we keep squirming around trying to find the perfect sleeping spot on the bed. Everytime I move I wake up Dustin, and everytime I think I have finally found another good position to resume my slumber Dustin yanks all the blankets off of me and it starts the vicious cycle all over again. Maybe we should just get bunk beds! ha ha

Thanksgiving!

Wow Thanksgiving has come and gone... we were so excited to have a day off of work and to be able to spend time with the fam! We were able to go to Marysvale with my sister in-law Keara's family. The drive down took a little longer then we planned... we were chattin it up too much and missed our exit and had to take a tiny detour. ha ha

We were especially excited because we were having a party to celebrate my niece Jenna's birthday on Wednesday night!!! I wanted to give her her present so bad I could hardly stand it ( I'm not so great with suprises I just get too anxious!)

On Thanksgiving morning we had a little Turkey bowl with all my bros... Dustin loved it, he has been looking forward to playin ball for weeks... but we both ended up getting injured!

Unfortunately Dustin & I had to come back home Thursday night so I could go to work... but I made him come to work ( I was there pretty much by myself) and watch movies with me... not such a bad work day after all...

On Saturday I made pumpkin pie ( I have never made a pie in my life!) and we went over to check out Neil and Ali's new house! It looks great and we are really excited for them! We played Apples to Apples with them for like 3 hours and it is safe to say we are addicted to it. Ha Ha

More exciting news came last night, when my brother Justin called and told me.... He's getting married! Yay!!! He started dating Molly, from Connecticut, a couple of months ago and they are getting hitched in May. We are so excited for them!
